General Stuff about the Shack
bianca's trolls run the shack for her and assist her guests. A who's who in the troll community. It is very rare that bianca's trolls would post while not logged in (a problem with the members server that prevents logging in, is the only reason). So 99.9% of the time a bonefide troll post will have a bianca heart with their handle.
To send an email you can click the envelope on the bianca navigation bar, or you can email a troll directly. Do a quick check on the bianca Message Board to see which trolls are around at that time.
The trolls that are around most frequently to handle problems are

and so on... the trolls name followed by @bianca.com.
You may want to give them an idea of what your email is about on the subject line, i.e. Re: Chat Files Not Set Up. It just helps make them faster, more efficent trolls.
The little hearts 
identify bianca's members. Clicking on the heart allows you to view that members shacklet.
The log time references that are in each chat room, forum and sub, are just that. They are meant only to provide a log reference for the trolls should they need to go and check information, complaints, etc. in a specific room. Example: If a member is abusing html in a room, the time reference allows someone to tell the trolls what room, day and "bianca time" the infraction occured.
They were never meant to be clocks and since bianca hosts visitors from all over the world, they could never be set to be correct to everyone.
If you want a specific time reference on your sub, just add your own line "posted at 2:35pm EST" at the bottom.
For security reasons, bianca's chooses not to allow visible IP numbers in any of her public rooms. So be assured, when you are chatting or posting subs in any of the public rooms, nobody is able to see your IP number (encrypted or otherwise).
It is possible, however, for members to set up programs in their shacklets or private chats to keep a record of IP numbers.
To try and cut back on spam, most of the subs and forums have a time delay between posts, set into the program. On rare occasions, someone from the same ISP could have just completed a post and this would affect your posting. The software would identify it a a second posting, although it is only your first.
Be patient and try again in a few minutes. It doesn't happen often, but it does happen.
Check your password. If your password is correct, then most log in problems occur when you do not accept a cookie. If you are running programs that disable cookies, such as some watchdog programs, or you have your browser set to refuse cookies, you can't log in.
In Netscape to change your browser to accept cookies, click "edit", "preferences", "advanced" and click the box to accept cookies. In MSIE click "View", "Internet Options", "Advanced", (scroll down to) "Security" and "Cookies". (Based on NS 4.04 and MSIE 4.0)
When you go to the tool shed to set up your private chat or forum for the first time and you click on "edit chat" or "create forum" and you receive a message saying "file not found" it means you joined bianca's at a time when the server that creates those files was down. You need to email either phakt0re or 914 and request that they set up the files.
bianca has a very flexible policy when it comes to banners in the members shacklets. A few banners linked to a biancanauts favorite sites are allowed, but if the shack is being used only for advertising, you will get a warning from the trolls. Moderation please.
Memberships can be renewed by clicking the "Join" box on the Navigation Bar and all transactions can be done securely online. If you prefer to send your renewal by snail mail, the address is there as well. bianca allows about a 30 day grace period after your membership has expired before she throws the switch.
bianca will retain all shacklet, chat and forums files for a while after your membership has expired. If you wish to renew your expired membership and retain your old files, your expiration date will be what it would have been if you had renewed on time. Example: Your handle "Fred" expired on December 1, 1998, but you didn't renew it until February 5, 1999. You renew for 1 year. Your expiration date will be December 1, 1999, not February 5, 2000.
If you wish to take over an expired handle that has not been released back into the system you must email one of the trolls and request it. Handles that have not been used for a while but are still paid, will not be given out.
Handles Losing Font/Color in Chat and Whisper Disabled
There is a known bug in the system that causes handles to lose their font and color configuration - they show up as plain black text. This bug also affects the whisper/invite feature, disabling it at times. It is a bug that the trolls are aware of and are making an effort to find and fix. Forum Archived Posts Disappeared
If your archived posts have disappeared from your forum files it means that you have exceeded your 2mb of disk space. For a permanent record it is recommended that you download and save your files on a regular basis. Once the files have been deleted, it is impossible to recover them.
First, the trolls do not delete the files. They are moved to previous and can still be viewed.
The board is for the trolls use. It is their forum to get information, suggestions, etc. from the visitors to biancas.
They do read all the posts on the board and remove them (to previous) at their discretion. Removals are done to basically clean up the board after they've been informed of the content of the post.
Some posts are left up a bit longer than others if they feel that the information may be of use to others. But eventually all posts will make it to the previous files.
Always! Help them get to the problem as quickly as possible.
To tell them that someone posted rt information in the bathroom sub is not helpful. They do not want to go through every post looking for it. And cut and paste can be altered, so it is not a reliable only source of information. Provide a link to the specific chat room, sub or forum that you want them to check out.
If you don't know how to do a link, tell them which room/forum/sub, the date and the log time of the post, in additional to the names on it.
The trolls volunteer their time to create, fix and assist at biancas. They work around their own (real) jobs and family time, so there is no set pattern as to when they're around. But leave them a message or send them an email and they will get back to you as soon as possible.
Trolls are people too (hard to believe) and at times if they get wrapped up in something else and forget... a gentle reminder is all that is needed.
YES! And their preference is on a long, tall, cool one.
